Dr. Thomas M. Soike, born and raised in Johnson City is honored to serve the region by providing highly specialized dermatopathology consultation and diagnostic interpretation. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2007 and returned to East Tennessee to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree at East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine, in 2011.
Dr. Soike completed his residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2015, followed by a Dermatopathology Fellowship at MUSC in 2016. His subspecialty training included advanced microscopic evaluation of inflammatory dermatoses, melanocytic lesions, and cutaneous neoplasms, with a strong emphasis on precise clinicopathologic correlation to guide patient care.
His professional focus centers on dermatopathology, inflammatory skin disease, and skin cancer diagnosis in close partnership with referring dermatologists and clinicians.
Away from the microscope, Dr. Soike enjoys time with his wife, their son, and their dog, often exploring the surrounding mountains on his mountain bike or woodworking in his home shop.
