Melissa Parrish joined TCSC in December 2025. She grew up in Bristol, Tennessee and has called Johnson City home since 2006. She holds a BSN from King University as well as a BA in biology from Carson-Newman University.
After earning a Master of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University in 2013, Melissa spent more than twelve years practicing rheumatology. She is board certified through the ANCC. Prior to becoming an advanced practice provider, her previous nursing experience was based in critical care units.
Melissa believes in empowering patients through education, open communication, and shared decision-making. She is dedicated to building long-term relationships that support overall well-being and improved health outcomes.
Outside of clinical practice, Melissa enjoys hiking, cross-stitching, being active in her church, spending time with her husband and cheering on their four children in a variety of sports and activities.
